Dr. Patricia Keane studied at National University of Ireland, Galway and graduated in 1997. She subsequently undertook her training in General Practice on the Mid Leinster training scheme, resulting in her qualification as a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners.

Dr. Patricia pursued further training in Family Planning, Contraception, Mirena Coil insertion and Implanon insertion. She provides this service at Kiltimagh Medical Centre, and she has achieved a certificate in family planning. Dr. Patricia also holds a Diploma in Women's Health and her special interests include all aspects of women's health; contraception, preconception checks, subfertility, menopause, and menstrual problems.

She also has particular interest in Diabetes & Psychiatry of Later Life, having focused on these areas during her general practice training.
